Parrot Polish Black Magic

Hello folks!

By now, I'm sure you know I like Parrot Polish very much, and have quite a few of them. You also probably know I love dark polish, and it doesn't get darker than black :D And when that black polish is holo, and it's thermal....

This is Black Magic, a thermal polish that is black when cold, and grey when warm. It is simply gorgeous!

The applications, like all Parrot polishes is flawless, two coats, top coat, and you're good to go!

I love stamping in complementary colours on thermals,  the stamping slowly appearing is magical :)

They have a lot of thermals, and I plan to get my hands on a few those very soon :)

Obsessed With Tropical

Hello, friends! :)
A lot has been going on these pas few weeks. My brother in law was getting married, and that included a whole lotta organizing to do, because my Dad didn't want to go to the wedding and the party, and we had to figure something out because we can't leave him alone for a whole day and night (he's in early stages of dementia). He was at his sister's house for the weekend, so we were able to attend all the wedding stuff. Maybe I should clarify, in Croatia, if someone close to you is getting married, the wedding basically starts at around noon, we gather at the house of the bride or groom (depends which one are you related to), then you go pick up the bride (or wait for the groom), then the church, and then the party, which usually lasts the whole night :) Anyway, it was a very fun day and night. Of course I had to have special nails for the occasion, so here they are:

I did a gradient with Essence white and Parrot Polish The Lioness of Brittany, and stamped with MoyouLondon Tropical 02 plate.
They kind of matched my dress :)

Tropical theme seems to be my favourite these days, and I did quite a lot of those. There's a hash tag on Instagram #hawaiianshirtmani, it was started by LadyAndTheStamp, and we do hawaiian shirt themed manicure every friday, and I think I might have gone a bit overboard with it. I think it's because it's been so hot here for the last few days all I can think of is being in a tropical paradise :D
Here are a few of those manicures:

This is a gradient with Catrice Will You Berry Me? and China Glaze Flip Flop Fantasy, then dry brushed with Barry M Cotton, and then stamped with my go to tropical plate, MoyouLondon 02.

This is a gradient with Essence love is in the air, Eveline 922 and Barry M Berry Cosmo, stamped with, again, MoyouLondon Tropical 02

The base for this manicure was Misslyn Bikini season from their Neoprene Collection, stamped with A England Fonteyn and then Essence Black Stampy, all using images from BundleMonster BM-313 plate. :)

Which one is your favourite? Do you like tropical themed manicures?
Tell me in the comments, on hop on over to my Instagram @therapywithnailpolish :)

Parrot Polish Holo Goodness

Hello friends!
It's been a while since my last blog post, but that's just how life goes, sometimes other stuff comes first and you have to deal with the real world. :) To be perfectly honest with you, I haven't had much inspiration for writing, so I didn't press my self.
But then, I got invited to join a group Hella holo customs group on Facebook. Basically, it's a group that has custom holo polishes made from indie makers, 2 of them every month, and than you have the exclusive chance to buy them. The month I got in, Parrot Polish was one of the makers, and, since I a a faithfull fan of Parrot Polish, I jump on that train. Usually, members of the group vote on a color they want for a custom, and the makers does another, exclusive color of their own choce. David and Sonja made a blackish holo polish as an exclusive, and my black heart can't pass on a black holo, so that's what I wanted. Here it is, it's called Midnight.

It has a huge holo flame, and some blue glitter in it. Very sparkly, and very special. :)

I loved it so much I left in on my nails for 2 days, but I had to do some stamping :)

The plate is Moyou London Fashionista 08, one of the first I ever bought, and still my favourite.

There was another Parrot Polish in my order, one I've been wanting since I first saw it: The Lioness of Brittany, in all it's holo glory

I adore this polish, it has such a unique colour, and, as always, super strong holo. The best thing about Parrot Polish is that they dry really fast, and are a breeze to apply.

Do you have any Parrot Polish? If not, you are missing out. I've linked their shop and IG feed (you see them bold), so go check them out. :)

Rainbow called Arco Iris

You guys know I love Parrot Polish, right? There are a lot of reasons for that, the makers, Sonja and David, are wonderful people, they have the best customer service I have ever had the pleasure to deal with, but, most of all, they have perfect polishes. That's why I decided to buy some of their polishes for gifts, and of course, I had to get one for myself :)
It's called Arco Iris, which is Spanish for rainbow, and it comes from International love collection, same as my beloved Croatian Love. We had sun today, holy holo look at this!

This is daylight, but no sun, and it shows how this polish changes colours. I would tell you the actual colour of it, but I can't decide. It's silver, and pink, and a little green, and, as it's name says, basically, every colour of the rainbow. :)

It's really gorgeous, you should buy it :) And while you're at it, pick a few more, Parrot Polish has a buy 3 get 1 one free sale, so hurry up! Here's a link to their shop: http://www.shop.parrotpolish.com/main.sc

Croatian Love with Nail Vinyls

Hello, people!
I'm still not over stamping, but finally got the time to play with some nail vinyls. If you're not good at drawing lines like me, these will be a big help :) I bought them at nailvinyls.com, and they are great! Easy to work with, easy to peel of, just make sure you remove them while your polish is still wet, in order to get the image clean. The polish is my favourite Hrvatska ljubav aka Croatin love by Parrot polish. The pictures are taken in daylight, so you can see the glorious color shift in this polish. I stamped with MoyouLondon Pro04 plate, and the glitter is Kiko's 271 Sparklet.

Next time, I'll show you a little festive design I came up with.
xoxo

Hrvatski:

Another Parrot Polish - Colloid Stars

Hello, friends!

I owe you a little review of another Parrot Polish I got and it's called Colloid Stars. Sorry for being late, I had my wisdom tooth removed, so I wasn't feeling like writing, or doing my nails for that matter.
Anyway, let's get to business. :)
Colloid Stars is a silver topper with blue glitter. You could wear it alone, but you'd need at least 3 or 4 coats for opacity, so I tried it over black, and over white. I liked better how it turned out over white, it's reminds me of snow at night a little, all shiny and sparkly and silvery. These pics were taken in sunshine, one coat of white, and 3 coats of Colloid Stars.

You can put 2 coats, but recently, I'm a 3 coat girl. :)
The formula is, as with Croatian Love, a very good one, smooth to apply, it has good brush and dries fast, although, the drying time does depend on your base white (or black, if you prefer).

Again, I recommend buying from Parrot Polish, their product is very good, and, as I recently discovered, customer service is the best ever. :) And a reminder, they have free international shipping, so be kind and order at least 2 so the kind owners of Parrot Polish can cover the cost of shipping.

Info: Parrot Polish web shop, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter.

Hrvatski:

Do sljedećeg puta,

xoxo

Hrvatska ljubav aka Croatian Love by Parrot Polish

Hello, friends!

If you read my introduction post , you know the owners of Parrot Polish sent me two of their polishes after I gushed about Croatian Love in a polish FB group, just to make me smile.
And, o boy, did I smile when my postman brought the package.
(Fun fact, the name sticker on the photo above is the first sticker that says "Hrvatska ljubav" it was originally called "Hrvatski ljubav", which was changed after, apparently, EasyNailArt and I grammar nazi-ed the owner. :))
Ladies and gentlemen, I give you the most beautiful polish I have, this dark beauty with holo particles that shifts color to purple and green, named after my country:

This is 3 coats with top coat, pictured in artificial light, at night.
I know you will think that the praise that's about to follow is because I got it for free, but I assure you it's not. This polish is everything I want a polish to be. It's pretty, the formula is just right, not to thin and not to thick and really smooth, and, it dries fast. It's opaque with 2 coats, but I loved applying it so much I added a 3rd coat. The packaging is also very nice, and the polishes come in a 15 ml bottle.  Here's some more pictures, this time with sunshine, and in natural daylight:

Can you believe this is one polish? It has so many shades I spent half the day staring at my nails. Here's another photo so you can see side by side how it looks inside and outside:

I really recommend buying Parrot Polish, and when you do, please buy a few, because they currently have free international shipping, so help them cover the cost. Trust me, you won't regret it.

Find them at: Parrot Polish shop, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter

Next time: Colloid Stars, the second polish I got from Parrot Polish.

Hrvatski:

Parrot Polish trenutno nudi besplatnu poštarinu, (rijetkost s američkim proizvođačima), pa iskoristite to. Međutim, kupite ih više, tako ćete pomoći vlasnicima ove male tvrtke da im ta besplatna poštarina bude barem koliko toliko isplativa, a vi nećete požaliti.

Imam još jedan njihov lak za isprobati, o njemu u sljedećem postu.

xoxo
